The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects.These opportunities can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

This assignment is located within the Global Expert Management and Strategy (GEMS)Consulting & Medical Education team within, Global Medical Values and Capabilities (GMVC). This function exists within the broader Global Medical & Scientific Affairs (GMSA), which is part of our Company's Research Laboratories. GEMS is the Center of Excellence to plan, design, enable, and oversee compliant, customer-focused, and strategically aligned activities to drive world-class, evidence-based global & regional advisory meetings and medical education programs aiming to advance healthcare.

The intern in this assignment will be responsible for:

  • Candidates must be able to commit to full-time onsite (or hybrid if applicable) employment for 10 - 12 weeks beginning June 2025

  • Annual Validation of Country Requirements Resource

  • The intern will conduct an annual validation of the data for 80+ countries to maintain completeness and accuracy.

  • Review and update "GEMS Manager New Employee Onboarding" resources.

  • The intern will conduct a review of the repository to validate data is current with working links. The intern will offer a unique perspective to feel confident that the information in the document will assist onboarding new hires (without any prior knowledge of the role).

  • Support the Annual Book of Business Quality Control and Congress Central Additions

  • The intern will support the 2025 GEMS Annual Planning Process by conducting Quality Control analysis and inputting data into the Congress Central Platform.

  • Ongoing GEMS department simplification projects

  • The intern will support ad hoc projects to support department efficiency and simplification.

Key responsibilities

  • Review Country Requirements Tool partnering with 1-2 GEMS Managers to validate findings.

  • If needed, communicate with local our Company's subsidiary personnel responsible for country requirements data.

  • Review onboarding resources to ensure they are current with working links; Partner with recent hires to validate.

  • QC GEMS Annual Book of Business with direction from GEMS Team Lead(s).

  • Accurately input congress symposia plans into Congress Central Platform with direction from GEMS POC.

  • Manage additional ad hoc activities with support from department leads.

  • Create deliverables as described below at conclusion of internship.

Key Deliverables

Develop a communication outlining the changes and updates to the Country Requirements Tool. Create a presentation listing any gaps, additional resources or outdated information that need to be updated in the "GEMS Manager New Employee Onboarding" resource to support a new GEMS manager employee. Maintain accurate reporting and assist with QC process of annual Book of Business Project and congress plan additions. Develop slides and conduct a presentation to the Department Leads highlighting intern projects.

The GEMS manager serves as a key professional interface with global and regional internal stakeholders, scientific leaders, healthcare professionals, and scientific/medical societies. The individual in this critical role must be detail oriented to ensure the successful end-to-end planning and execution of Group Input Meetings and ex-US global medical education programs. This role requires a person with strategic insight and the ability to develop a comprehensive assessment, which includes reviewing and approving an action memo documenting the legitimate business need for each program. In collaboration with business and strategy teams, the GEMS manager develops an annual plan of programs that considers status of product life cycles, as well as the business goals of GMSA and our Research & Development Division.

Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:

$39,600.00 - $105,500.00
