Performs all types of Metal Plating in the Plating Department using prescribed solutions, materials, and equipment. Embrace and engage in the Honeywell Operating System (HOS) including activities, but not limited to 5S, Continuous Improvement (Kaizen), Standard Work, Rapid Problem Solving, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Knowledge Sharing.
Key Responsibilities
- Diversified work to do any plating job in department including small rack and barrel plating, solvent degreasing, brite dipping, polishing, sand blasting, or miscellaneous departmental jobs.
- Mix own acid and brite dipping solutions using methods layouts and may have to make additions of chemicals as required. (Other plating solution kept up by maintenance crew.)
- Perform periodic analysis of chemicals as required.
- Checks and records plating thickness as required.
- Judgment necessary to follow prescribed procedures in order to maintain workmanship standards.
- May be subject to NADCAP requirements.
- Exposed to varying degrees of dust, dirt, fumes, noise, etc. making job somewhat disagreeable.
- Protective gloves, footwear, eyewear, long pants and aprons use required.
The annual base salary range for this position is <$31.57/hr>. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma
- 1 or more years of experience in Metal Plating

- Sustained physical effort handling parts, racks, and containers filled with parts and materials.
- Must be able to lift heavy baskets in and out of tanks and operate mechanical hoist.
