As the Practice Area (PA) Manager you will shape and drive the People agenda for the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) PA.
You will work closely with our Global People Leader (MDP) and wider Leadership team to define and deliver our PA agenda, build and execute programs to develop our people base and manage the wider people agenda. In this role you will develop a deep understanding of the TMT business, work closely with senior stakeholders and drive our teams as they seek to deliver against our growth and affiliation ambitions. You will build strong partnership with stakeholders, develop strategic perspective, draw clear recommendations from insights and create materials which drive outcomes.
Strategic People Plan & agenda – together with PA Leadership you will develop overall people plan for TMT, defining and driving a set of global initiatives against priority themes:
- Derive insights on our people base and sentiment and, alongside our senior leadership, define initiatives and interventions and set targets, working with global teams to deliver
- Manage overall team priorities and own implementation/tracking of progress via clear KPIs.
- Drive insights and strategic recommendations around resource planning & strategy
- Oversee our affiliation process working with Regional teams
- Ensure dynamic best practice support for TMT members at key career points
- Understand capacity and expertise by region and sector and identify gaps for planning
- Provide clear global insights and oversight for Lateral Hire efforts, working with Regional teams
- Oversee People announcements – innovate around communications
- Alumni
- Drive overall global Alumni strategy defining priority interventions
- Oversee Regional Alumni Councils, guide relevant Regional teams
- Ensure engagement from Regional, Local or Client teams with relevant Alums
- Operationalize Alumni reporting to drive transparency and outreach
- Increase visibility of Alumni in internal and external communications and events
- TMT Academy
- Set strategy and drive evolution of our core internal learning programme
- Oversee and quality control delivery of content, communications and event calendar
- Utilize internal analysis to innovate and evolve program based on results and priorities
- Expert Community
- Drive step-change in our Expert engagement – defining opportunities and gaps – work with Sectors and Global ECT Team to define and embed best practice approaches
- Analyse key KPIs and work with Regions and Sectors to enhance career management
- Diversity
- Actively track Diversity KPIs – derive opportunity insights across cohorts/regions
- Own and set agenda and define interventions – share and help embed best practices
- Oversee developing and delivery of calendar of events, working with Regional teams
- Affiliation Meetings
- Based on rich understanding of PA strategic goals, collaborate with senior MDP leaders to bring vision, set agenda and oversee a large global team to deliver
- PMO - lead large content and logistics team; ensure delivery and budget management
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field required, MBA Preferred
- Ideally you will have 6-8+ years of experience, ideally in consulting experience or similar strategic roles
- Excellent storylining and writing skills – develop crisp, well-structured presentations and memos for senior audiences - strong oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and rigor (own output and deliver quality) – derive strong insights from analysis – able to manage large data sets, conduct analysis and build models, ideally with experience utilizing tools
- Experience managing large budgets & financial systems would be preferred
- People Management or mentorship experience would be a plus
