Current Need

We are searching for a Sr. Technical Product Owner in Irving, TX or Richmond, VA to join the team.

Position Descriptionand Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing technical functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, API specifications and defining system behaviors using design and future forward thinking with best-in-class customer first mindset. This individual might support multiple products that develop deep reporting and analytical insights across Commercial and Sales Reporting and Analytics applications at McKesson.

  • The candidate should be an expert on various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid etc. and support the best model that suits the organization needs

  • The candidate will be responsible for leading PI planning sessions, requirement analysis, impact analysis, estimates and provide key inputs to drive prioritization and support technology delivery in a timely manner

  • Champion the needs of business teams, customers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the development process; ensure what is delivered meets the original objectives, goals and KPIs

  • The candidate should be a strategic thinker with a creative and customer first mindset that can partner and collaborate with key stakeholders across business segments, internal groups, and vendors

  • This person will lead various projects and initiatives across multiple applications

  • The candidate should maintain and grow a deep knowledge and functional expertise of the supported technology including industry best practices for enterprise development and deployment

  • Attention to detail, stakeholder collaboration/communication, ability to create, document, and drive continuous improvement are essential

  • The candidate should be a change agent to drive new ways of working and operating model. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work with people at various levels and communicate project status simultaneously

  • Applicants also must have a good balance of team leadership skills along with hands-on experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, JIRA, Confluence and others.

  • The candidate is expected to provide frequent and timely updates to leadership to mitigate potential risks to scope, time and budget.

  • The candidate will be expected to submit change requests and send release communications

Minimum Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in translating business requirements to functional and non-functional technical requirements for Customer facing Reporting and Analytical platforms.

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence Tools, Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions across one or more industry leading technology products.

  • Deep analytical, business analysis, data profiling, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Experience working on large scale customer facing applications.

  • Support QA and UAT as required.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present complex technical information to IT and non-IT audiences.

  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to prioritize issues & communicate status.

  • Self-starter, capable of seeing projects/fixes through to completion

  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple deliverables

  • Ability to prioritize/communicate conflicting demands.

  • Ability to create design artifacts, flow charts, etc as required.

  • Maintain and grow a deep knowledge of the business and the stakeholder needs and constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field or 10+ years of equivalent experience

  • 10+ years' experience as Technical Product Owner or related field required.

  • 10+ years' experience working in an agile or hybrid environment preferred

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$128,000 - $213,300
