The Cook I performs a variety of tasks in processing, preparation and mixing of cold food items. The Cook I utilizes standardized recipes, procedures and practices. Complies with regulatory requirements.
Education & Experience:
Must have high school diploma or GED
1 year experience in institutional or commercial food service food preparation.
Knowledge of food service safety and handling or equipment.
Must be able to follow and relay oral written detailed instructions, effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform duties throughout shift that requires standing, walking, pushing carts up to 400 pounds, pulling, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds containers, and withstand extreme temperatures of hot and cold for periods of time.
Certification/Licensure:
Must have City of Ft. Worth Food Handlers Card prior to employment. Card must be current at all times during employment.
