Your Role:
Join the CSAA Compensation team, a leader in innovative compensation design, policy creation, and best practices. Your Work:
Participates in the design, development, implementation and oversight of all formal base, incentive, rewards and recognition and long-term pay programs across company for assigned client groups and for executive plans and programs.
Manages the program administration of one or more compensation programs/systems, including Focal, Salary Planning, Market Surveys, Rewards & Recognition, HRIS, and Pay Equity Review.
You will serve as a consultant to the Compensation department/group, developing solutions to difficult problems.
Acts as an expert in the Compensation field and acts independently to solve problems, develop processes, and determine methods.
Works with assigned business groups and leads the process to develop group specific incentive design objectives, goals, identify eligible jobs, establish targets and measures and communicate plan objectives that drive business performance.
Consults with other Compensation and HR professionals on Incentive design issues across entire company.
Works with Compensation leader to design, implement, administer and communicate executive compensation and benefit programs that support overall business strategy.
Conducts market research to evaluate and report on company’s competitive market position in the market.
Manages annual compensation benchmarking, review and reward process for executives, leveraging input from talent review process.
Provides guidance on executive offering packages. Independently prepare incentive forecasts, specialized compensation modeling on various internal executive compensation matters.
Partners with business leaders and HR consultants to develop and evaluate executive level positions; and participates in executive surveys and conducting analyses on various executive compensation programs.
Works with Human Resource Consultants to provide information, prepare both in depth research and enterprise-wide solutions for assigned business clients.
Responsible for working with key strategic business partners to develop, design and administer effective compensation programs.
Evaluates the effectiveness of existing pay programs and provides detailed solutions with minimal guidance.
Determines the scope and level of job families for specific areas of the business including FLSA recommendations.
Lends expertise on system implementations & process improvements for pay planning and Total Rewards.
Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., supporting employee resource groups, mentoring employees, volunteering, joining cross-functional projects).
Champions our cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).
Demonstrates a company ownership mindset, thinking beyond boundaries of their own area.
Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.
Required Experience, Education and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent combination or education and experience.
A minimum of 8 years of experience working in the compensation field.
Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders at various levels and functions within Insurance business to facilitate effective total rewards programs and administration.
Must have the ability to work well under pressure, and the flexibility to deal with multiple changing priorities and tight turnarounds.
Ability to identify key business drivers, evaluate trends and model data.
Ability to understand business needs and drivers and complete complex Compensation projects from start to finish.
Independently develops/recommends Compensation or HR initiatives that improve Human Capital business process. Presents recommendations to senior management and drives to successful completion.
Must have strong analytical skill and commitment to quality.
Interprets data and designs reports to highlight trends for senior management.
Ability to identify trends and propose solutions to Incentive design related issues.
Works on complex assignments requiring independent action and initiative and able to identify and develop process improvements.
Ability to build relationships at all levels across the business.
Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.
Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.
What would make us excited about you?
Strong knowledge of data warehousing, databases, and Sales tools.
One or more year of experience in incentive and/or sales incentive design.
Prior Human Resource Generalist or Benefits experience.
Professional designations (CCP or equivalent).

The national average salary range for this position is $136,800-$152,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $123,120-$182,500. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
