Manager, Process Manager - ACM

As a Manager in Analytics, Credit & Modeling, you will support our Enterprise Consumer Products Team by working with extended teams across the enterprise to manage and improve our business processes. In this role, not only will you lean into your analytical and problem solving skills by developing and deploying innovative solutions to mitigate risks to the company, but you will also grow your strategic and influencing skills as you create and implement well-managed strategies that enable Consumer Data to continue to be well managed while improving efficiency and control effectiveness. You may also lead or engage in critical departmental or cross-functional organizational initiatives and projects.


Some qualities which will contribute to success in this role include, but are not limited to: strong verbal and written communication skills; strong process documentation skills; willingness to be a Team Player; being meticulous to details; collaborative; being able to coordinate large efforts across cross-functional Teams, when needed; the ability to balance, at times, several initiatives and priorities at once; and thriving in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate others in delivering flawless execution of process development, including standardized artifacts, and improvement projects. Knowledge of how to navigate regulatory requirements, as well as the development and management of process controls, will be critical to maintaining a well-managed process.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead or engage in critical departmental or cross-functional organizational initiatives and projects.

  • Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes

  • Analyzing, identifying, and correcting data issues with systems used or owned by a department

  • Strong ability to facilitate sessions with Business SMEs that result in outcomes that enable clear understanding of the process, risks and controls associated with a given process

  • Can drive conversations to clarify and understand the intent of a process while ensuring a customer first focus

  • Keeping continuous improvement at the forefront of the repeatable processes with which you will engage with LOBs

  • Developing and maintaining processes that enable to the LOBs to maintain an audit ready status

  • Can heavily influence across multiple domains to drive process improvements and adoption via presentation and storytelling skills.

  • Maintain formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases and diagrams etc.) as needed

  • Providing subject matter expertise on processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings

  • Work with team members to develop robust risk management processes; Track and resolve process breakdowns, issues and risk events

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

  • At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or G Suite

  • At least 2 years of experience in Process Management

  • At least 2 years of experience in Project Management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Management, Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Communications, Computer Science or Information Systems

  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification

  • 3+ years of experience in Process Management

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management

  • 3+ years of experience in People Management

  • 3+ years of experience in complex problem solving

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $128,300 - $146,400 for Manager, Process Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
