Under the supervision of the Stormwater Infrastructure Foreman, performs skilled work in the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Town’s Stormwater systems. Incumbents in this classification may be trained and assigned to operate various Town vehicles/equipment on an intermittent basis. Repairs and maintains the Town’s stormwater conveyance system, including catch basins, swales, structures, and other related components. Assists in the removal of debris from the Town’s bodies of water and drainage basins. Restructures disturbed concrete, asphalt, and landscape areas, as needed. Restores road surface through proper base compaction and installation of asphalt material. Operates trucks and construction and maintenance equipment as necessary to complete work projects; checks equipment for proper servicing, operation and safety and reports defects to supervisor. High school diploma or equivalent required supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, including a minimum of two (2) years verifiable heavy equipment or vacuum truck operating experience. A valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver’s License is also required. Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association (FW&PCOA) or Florida Stormwater Association (FSA) Stormwater Technician Certification, or equivalent, is preferred.
Pay range: $21.65 to $34.63 per hour.
