The ideal candidate has experience overseeing a variety of events from start to finish in a professional services environment, a keen eye for detail, a highly professional and client service-oriented demeanor, and ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. The candidate will support marketing events for practice areas, industry teams, departments and clients.

Responsibilities:- Plans and coordinates events, including meetings, seminars, and client receptions, based on attorney input.
- Collaborates with attorneys and business development teams to determine event size, goals, and budget.
- Researches and inspects potential venues, providing recommendations to attorneys and staff.
- Negotiates with vendors, ensuring contracts meet industry standards and firm requirements.
- Manages logistics such as catering, transportation, guest accommodations, and audiovisual needs.
- Serves as the main point of contact between attorneys and service providers for event execution.
- Oversees event setup and ensures everything runs smoothly, addressing issues and assisting guests as needed.
- Evaluates event success post-event, offering recommendations for improvements and cost savings.
- Works closely with marketing and business development teams, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
- Requires Bachelor's degree and three to five years of event planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends (minimal weekends).
- Willingness to travel (approximately 60%).
- Experience in law firms or professional services industries is highly preferred.
- Ability to properly manage multiple budgets and make necessary purchases appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse group of attorneys, staff and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of business entertaining and event planning.
- Knowledge of etiquette and food/beverage service industry.
