WHO YOU ARE
We want you to be a part of the RMS Global Sustainment - Mission Systems and Weapons (MSW) Field Engineering Team. This position requires an experienced Field Engineer with demonstrated technical skills across a broad range of electronic and mechanical architectures. Our organization desires critical and analytical thinkers who can effectively function in a team leadership role and successfully accomplish field engineering tasks independently or as part of a dynamic team. Although most work will be associated with military combat and/or Laser Weapon Systems (LWS), the opportunity to support other MSW equipment/systems also exists.
Selected candidate will be responsible for providing installation support of equipment including engineering modifications and upgrades; performing equipment/system repair, operation, and transportation; performing the assembly, integration, and test of equipment/systems, assisting with training and technical manual validation, and performing daily coordination and communication with MSW leadership, integrated product teams, as well as other key program stakeholders and customer representatives (both internal and external to Lockheed Martin).
The candidate's designated work location will be the Moorestown, NJ facility, but he/she must also be able to travel on an as-required basis to provide support onboard ships and land based facilities as necessary. Domestic and international travel is anticipated with assignments lasting between a few days to a few months in duration. Annual travel may exceed 75%.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience with electro-optical and laser systems, operation and maintenance.
Must have an existing CDL Class A License or ability the to obtain one.
Technical engineering degree and / or military background.
Comp TIA A+, Linux, Unix certifications and/or network configuration experience.
Candidates have an understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts, as they relate to Field Engineering. This includes fault isolation, diagnostics, the removal and replacement of line replaceable units (LRUs), and in the repair of electrical / hydraulic / mechanical / optical systems.
Candidates must have experience in performing engineering change modifications and upgrades to electronic systems, coupled with the ability to conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to product in accordance with specific company and/or customer specifications.
Candidate must have or the ability to obtain a DOD Interim secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
Candidates must be able to learn the operation and maintenance of the system from the engineering team, and clearly document and articulate data and processes to the team and end customer, for training and knowledge continuity purposes.
Candidates must exhibit the interpersonal/soft skills needed to successfully serve in multiple field services roles centered on customer service. Whether actively serving in a team lead role, participating as a highly functioning team member, or more importantly traveling independently to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, exceptional interpersonal/soft skills are required to successfully serve as a valuable representative to our organization during customer engagements, events, and/or briefings.
Candidate must have desire to receive CDL training and licensing to operate the system.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
