About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization
Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions.
Coordinate andparticipate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparationprocess, patient identification, patient checkin/out, cash management andpatient appointment scheduling. Position also involves customer service,message distribution and referr als management.
Work Per formed
*Prepare for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients andc ompleting next day preparation activities.
*Check-in patient upon arrival in the practice.
*Identify correct patient information in Maestro Care. Verify/up datepatientdemographic and insurance data as needed. Edit Maestro Care as needed.
*Accurately identify the appropriate account for pati ent visit.
*Present and educate patients on required forms and obtainsignatur e including distributionof PROMIS ipads as required by p olicy andprocedure.
* Completes all MaestroCare required on-line questionnaire s andmanage all appropriate alerts.
* Obtainimprest cash bag from cash manager at beginning ofshift. Secure cashand patient paymentinformation appropr iately
at all times during clinichours.
*Return imprest cash bag at end of shift to cash manager.
*Collect and postco-payme nts and balances on accounts due.
* Label all patient specific chartdocuments andrequisition/transmittal documents for scanning. < /p>
*Explain billingan>
*Determine theto patients according to PRMO credit andcollectionpolicies.
*Check-out appointments.
*Make r eturn appointments by scheduling patients into the correctappointment ty pe, entering accurate primary care physician or referringphysi cianinformation in Maestro Care.
*Review and attach referrals to scheduled app ointments asappropriate.
*Answer telephone, take and deliver messages to provi ders.
*Report obtained medical information from patients and referringphysici ansaccurately, completely and timely. Disseminate messag es according topractice communication standards.
