This CW (Store Concept Designer) position will be responsible for the development and execution of innovative store designs that align with our brand vision and enhance the customer experience. This role requires a creative thinker with expertise in architecture and interior design, capable of translating our brand identity into physical spaces that foster community and connection, particularly within the retail and hospitality sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development: Contribute to the design process for new store concepts, focusing on the intersection of functionality and aesthetics in retail and hospitality environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet operational needs as well as brand goals.
Research and Trend Analysis: Stay current with trends in retail and hospitality design, analyzing customer behavior and experiences to inform store design strategies that resonate with our diverse customer base.
Brand Integration: Ensure all new store designs reflect Starbucks' brand identity and values. Work closely with marketing and brand teams to align design concepts with promotional initiatives and seasonal campaigns.
3D Modeling and Visualization: Utilize design software to create detailed 3D models and renderings to visualize store concepts that enhance the customer journey and engagement. Video and editorial capabilities preferred.
Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design professionals to support the implementation of store designs, ensuring quality, functionality, and adherence to design specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in retail, food service and/or hospitality design, demonstrating a strong portfolio of innovative design solutions that enhance customer experience.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools.
Strong understanding of retail and hospitality design principles, space planning, and the customer experience, particularly in creating immersive and welcoming environments.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences, including stakeholders in retail and hospitality.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in design and construction.
A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in team settings.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.90 to $39.89 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
