Grow your career as a Group Service Specialist with ALG Vacations. You will handle Travel Advisor phone calls, chats, questions and requests such as adding inventory, releasing inventory, modifications and finalizations. You will own cases and tasks and ensure as a POD, the assigned work is being completed effectively and efficiently. You will communicate with many teams throughout the organization and with suppliers and Travel Advisors.

A successful Group Service Specialist will:

  • Truly enjoy customer service and have a strong understanding of Groups
  • Own & close cases and tasks and consistently meet KPI expectations
  • Help with finalization and the phone queue if team members on other pods are out or during busy season
  • Monitor Room Lists, Final Countdown Letters and assign the Queue as needed
  • Strive to grow repeat business by building customer rapport and providing outstanding service
  • Collaborate with other service team members and team leaders to meet team expectations and provide suggestions for process improvements
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by leader

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/equivalent required
  • 2+ years of customer service experience is preferred 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of tools – Excel, Word, TEAMS & PowerPoint
  • Experience utilizing CRM tools to help manage business
  • Strong Customer Service and problem-solving skills
  •  Great technology skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work with team members in both an office & work at home environment
  • Maintain focus & energy in fast-paced group environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to travel up to 5%, Domestic or International
