The Team

We are seeking a Program Manager, Acquisition Management to join American Tower’s Corporate Development team withing the Product and Strategy organization. Product and Strategy manages the performance, market positioning, competitive analyses, evolution, and investment strategies for the company’s U.S. Tower division’s products, and manages and executes strategic, large-scale acquisitions and various other corporate development initiatives. As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of acquisition and divestiture projects. You will oversee a portfolio of deals, ensuring they are properly monitored and coordinated with reporting on diligence, closing, and integration activities.

What You Can Offer Us

  • Define and lead multiple projects and maintain responsibility for project management, implementation, due diligence, integration, and adoption of processes, systems, and solutions.    
  • Manage all programmatic aspects for ongoing acquisition activity, including oversight of due diligence with other internal teams.    
  • Develop integration strategies and approach for all acquisitions, working closely with other internal teams.    
  • Support the creation of executive-level analysis, briefings, & reports for internal use and key stakeholders and update management on the status of each transaction, including outcomes and risks.    
  • Develop processes, policies, and procedures. Manage projects, generate reports, create dynamic presentations, and lead team meetings. Help to continuously improve the M&A program & tools.    
  • Oversee and maintain the M&A Playbook to ensure standards and best practices across the division. Act as the subject matter expert representing the M&A team on diligence, integration, and project management activities.    
  • You will be accountable for on-time delivery and project completion of plans while identifying and resolving roadblocks for overall M&A closing and integration strategy success.    
  • Partner with the Data and Digital Integration team on integration activities and other subject matter experts to deliver solutions for integration issues    
  • Utilize project management methodologies, including supporting tools and processes, to ensure all diligence is complete and understood.    
  • Develop project and communication plans involving key stakeholders and impacted departments. Keep appropriate parties informed of each project's progress and problems.    

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex cross-functional projects or programs required.
  • Strong strategic project management skills and a proven track record of project management achievement in a cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and a team to meet requirements and deadlines.
  • Exceptional strategic and problem-solving skills to effectively influence key business decisions.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results. 
  • Approximately 20% travel may be required to support the job responsibilities.
