Full Job Description
Our client in the sporting goods industry is looking for a Videographer/ Video Editor to join their team on a freelance basis.
This will be a hybrid 20-25 hour/week position, with 1-2 days/week in office in Carlsbad. Candidate must be willing to travel around Southern California to film.
This Videographer/ Video Editor will be responsible for:
- Creation of video content for social media & YouTube based on marketing brief & goals from start to finish
- Assembling & cataloging existing raw footage for future ease of use
- Directing talent on location to accomplish overall video needs
- Creating, organizing and distributing shot list for select projects
- Concepting and presenting new content ideas and inspiration
- Producing content following a script, screenplay or outline
- Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
- Develop visually appealing graphics, including logos, banners, lower thirds, title sequences, and animations, to be incorporated into videos
This Videographer/ Video Editor will need:
- B.S. or B.A. in Media, Video Production and Motion Graphics, Communications, Advertising, or Marketing required
- 2+ years of professional experience in content creation (video, motion graphics and photo)
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends for effective content creation along with an understanding of media codecs, color space and sound mixing for legal delivery requirements set forth by platform partners
- Possess the ability to creatively mold video inspiration into content that aligns with overall strategic brand goals
- Visual storytelling through cinematography, non-linear editing, sound design and motion graphics
- Understanding of social media platforms and content details including but not limited to content dimensions, maximum video lengths and maximum files sizes for each channel
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Nice to have:
- Golf knowledge and experience is big plus!!
- Located in Carlsbad is a plus
