Job Title: Video Editor (with Motion Graphics Skills)

Industry: Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)

Hours: Project-based, variable hours (potential for full-time engagement)

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and versatile Video Editor with motion graphics experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bringing our brand stories to life through engaging video content. You will be responsible for editing a variety of video assets, incorporating motion graphics to enhance visual appeal and effectively communicate key messages. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual with a passion for video editing and a strong understanding of the CPG landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing: Edit a wide range of video content, including:
    • Social media assets (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, YouTube shorts)
    • Product demo videos
    • Brand storytelling pieces
    • E-commerce content
    • Internal communications videos
  • Motion Graphics: Create and integrate “light” motion graphics to enhance video content, including:
    • Text animations
    • Kinetic typography
    • Simple transitions and visual effects
    • Basic animation of logos and product visuals
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team and marketing stakeholders to understand project objectives and ensure videos align with brand guidelines and campaign goals.
  • Post-Production: Manage the full post-production workflow, including:
    • Importing and organizing footage
    • Color correction and grading
    • Sound editing and mixing
    • Exporting final deliverables in various formats

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of demonstrable experience in video editing, with a portfolio showcasing strong editing skills and motion graphics capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Cinema 4D, and Davinci 
  • A strong understanding of video production techniques, codecs, and file formats.
  • Excellent visual storytelling abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in the CPG industry.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices for video content.
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D or other 3D software.
  • Experience with audio recording and editing.
  • The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50-55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
