The team works on innovative new tech with the aim of making communication feel present, immersive, and real, no matter where in the world you are. Several of our recent initiatives are pilot projects that are being used at scale for the first time. As UX Researcher, you'll support the evaluation of these initiatives by collecting and analyzing user feedback and survey data. We’re passionately interested in our users and strive to learn everything we can about their goals and needs, attitudes and emotions to help define the products and experiences we create.
Responsibilities:
- The UX Research Associate will conduct mixed-methods research using quantitative and qualitative methodologies (e.g., surveys, interviews, usability testing), analyze data, and report findings to cross-functional stakeholders across our wider team.
- Manage survey fielding, analyze survey data, report findings.
- Plan and design UXR studies.
- Conduct mixed-methods UXR studies (e.g., usability testing, interviews), analyze data, and report findings
Skill/Experience/Education (Mandatory):
- M.A/M.S or Ph.D. (completed) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, HCI/Computer Science, or other related fields or equivalent practical experience
- 1-3 years of work experience or relevant graduate-school research experience
- Experience with Qualtrics or other survey fielding tools.
- Experience with SPSS, R, or other data cleaning & analysis tools.
- Basic familiarity with each of the following methods, and in-depth expertise in one or more of the following:
- Usability studies
- Concept tests
- Competitive benchmarks
- Diary studies
- User interviews
- Field research
- Behavioral science experiments
- Surveys
- Detail-oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects.
Desired:
- Ph.D. (completed) in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, Product Design, or other field
- Strong knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis
- Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $43.93 to $48.82 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
