Full Job Description
The Chesapeake Expressway Division of Public Works is seeking full-time toll collectors to perform responsible clerical work in the collection of tolls charged to motorists for using the Chesapeake Expressway Toll Road. Collectors are also responsible for ensuring we provide a safe environment and smooth traffic flow for the traveling public.
Essential duties include receiving and accounting for tolls/change, assessing and recording the appropriate toll, and maintaining the order and cleanliness of tollbooth work area. Qualifications include general knowledge of the procedures of cashier duties, the ability to do simple arithmetic and to count and handle money with speed and accuracy, and the ability to serve the public courteously.
