The Product Project Manager is responsible for delivering quality products and solutions to customers by understanding product strategy and customer needs, supporting the development of business cases, developing business requirements and supporting product development and deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and support to business and system partners through requirements gathering, process development, change management and training programs.
- Develop and execute an overall project plan, communicate project status, remove blockers, and escalate issues, manage risk, conduct post-project evaluations, maintain issues lists and resolve outstanding issues.
- Own all aspects of specific product launch, from development and implementation to production, including understanding stakeholder needs, prioritizing potential solutions, and measuring success through key metrics.
- Ensure our technology ecosystem can support the strategic objectives and use cases identified by business and marketing partners.
- Evaluates existing technology, processes, and operating models to identify and capitalize on opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Provides the bridge between the business and/or marketing stakeholders and the platform and technology teams supporting those products, ensuring priorities are clearly aligned across all-stakeholders.
- Knowledge of platform features, capabilities and enhancements to support business and marketing stakeholders, and identifies opportunities for piloting and long-term adoption of both new and existing features.
- Understands business objectives, creates, documents, and translates those objectives into detailed use cases, business requirements; provides all documentation and input required to technology partners, developers, and product managers.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs, build close relationships with key stakeholders, and deliver positive outcome-oriented solutions.
- Supports the development of documentation, training, best practices, and other resources to increase overall adoption and efficiency of the broader team.
Experience:
- 4-8 years of full-time work experience with Project Management or Product Management within a large organization.
- Experience in executing product strategies and roadmaps, business cases, and other product development responsibilities.
- Experience with digital communications spanning a range of needs: marketing, service, regulatory as well as print and digital channels and best practices.
- Strong creative-problem solving abilities, process optimization, and ideation when dealing with complex digital ecosystems.
- Dynamic relationship, partnership, and collaborative skills; a strong teammate with experience working with others to champion initiatives across multiple departments.
- Strong diligence, high sense of responsibility, and the ability to activate next steps efficiently and proactively.
- High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity, motivated to get results while operating autonomously in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective presentations and communications tailored to specific audiences spanning range of technical, marketing, and strategic backgrounds.
- Familiarity with industry-leading communications and platforms preferred.
- Must have strong project management skills in financial services, systems development, product development and/or project/product management.
- Strong interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of stakeholders from technical staff to senior leadership.
- Experience in demonstrating leadership and collaboration in a matrix-managed environment and across multiple and diverse groups.
- Effective and clear communication (both verbal and written).
- Solid understanding of formal development methodologies.
- A PMP Certification is preferred.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.40 to $66.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
