We are seeking candidates who model our values: invest in every relationship, lead with curiosity, champion diverse perspectives, turn inputs into actions, and uphold trust through integrity.

The Compliance Senior Vice-President (SVP) will support key Compliance initiatives across Moody's, including providing Compliance advice and guidance to Moody's Analytics (MA), which is a fast-growing division of Moody's that provides integrated solutions to help customers manage a wide array of risks. This role also requires an individual who either currently has or has previously had extensive experience with regulators.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Compliance Risk Assessment for MA and other areas, as necessary
  • Coordinate with Business Unit Compliance Officers (BUCOs) and Local Compliance Officers (LCOs) on AI, MA, and other Compliance-related matters
  • Lead global Compliance initiatives and other ad hoc projects
  • Develop effective working relationships with key business and other internal stakeholders
  • Engage effectively and credibly with all levels of business and other internal stakeholders globally regarding Compliance matters
  • Support successful implementation of policies and procedures, promote consistency across jurisdictions, and facilitate escalation and appropriate resolution of Compliance issues

  • Demonstrate exceptional decision-making skills, as well as influencing ability (including influencing without authority) and oral and written communication skills
  • Lead ad hoc projects and actively contribute to project teams on large-scale initiatives

  • 10-15+ years of experience as a Compliance professional interacting supporting diverse internal client groups with a demonstrated record of excellence
  • Current or prior extensive experience with regulators
  • Significant background in Compliance required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including active listening skills and ability to influence
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with proven track record in identifying and analyzing relevant considerations, developing sound recommendations, and presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision on independent assignments, and work effectively within and across teams
  • High degree of flexibility and excellent time-management skills required to balance competing demands from a diverse set of internal client groups
