Job Summary
This position is a 10-months role involving research design methods, data collection, analysis and management and project management within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are seeking an experienced statistician who will work with a variety of physician-scientists, clinicians, fellows, residents and medical students on qualitative research related to Women's Health. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently. They must understand both database and research complexities and apply independent problem-solving utilizing existing and emerging scientific knowledge.

Responsibilities*
This position involves a wide range of tasks including research design methods, data collection, analysis and management, project management and manuscript development using existing data and newly collected data from ongoing projects. Specifically, the position involves providing independent and collaborative statistical support including:
Research Design Methods
- Develop and implement qualitative protocols including virtual semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and survey interviews
- Adapt formal qualitative research design to Quality Improvement and Implementation Science frameworks
- Provide guidance for study design issues
- Supervise data collection
- Develop and draft specific analytic strategy for a variety of projects
- Develop analytic codebook and lead coding of qualitative data and interpretation of results
Data Analysis and Management
- Independently conduct appropriate data collection, management and analyses
- Aggregate analysis and create visual summaries for presentation and discussion with research team
- Coauthor peer-reviewed manuscripts and direct development of conference materials
- Summarizing, interpreting and presenting results in written, tabular and visual formats
- Assisting in the writing of manuscripts and grant proposals
Project Management
- Create quarterly progress reports and coordinate with PIs to ensure project timelines are adhered to
- Lead team meetings (as needed) and provide updates on data collection and overview of key findings.
- Ensure data quality assurance for data collection across projects
- Identify gaps in research design and analytic strategy
- Develop work plan and provide recommendations to PIs and research teams
- Mentor Research Assistants and provide training in qualitative research methods
- Lead discussions on improvement of data collection, quality of data analyses, project organization and documentation
Required Qualifications*
- Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, sociology or related field
- 5 or more years of experience with data collection, database management and statistical analysis
- Experience with complex data structures and linkages between data sources
- Working knowledge of mixed method concepts and methodology
- Ability to draft and execute analytical plans in accordance with the project's design, solve analytic problems, and develop instruments and related analysis plans
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple researchers, including physicians and students with varying levels of statistical training
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to be consistently detail-oriented
Statistician Senior Underfill:
- 3-5 years of experience with data collection, database management and statistical analysis

Background Screening
