As aSenior Fire Alarm Field Service TechnicianatHoneywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-notch service to our clients, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.

You will report directly to ourField Service Supervisor & Matrix manager to a Project Manager for new installs, and you'll support our clients intheKalamazoo, Grand Rapids & Lansing areas.

Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission Honeywell fire alarm systems according to specifications and industry standards
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations
  • Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting electronic components and replacing faulty parts
  • Perform regular testing and inspections of fire alarm systems to verify their proper functioning and compliance with safety standards
  • Provide technical support to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on system usage
  • Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and customer support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and support to clients
  • Acquire security and other clearances as required by customer

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience working within a commercial construction or commercial field service environment
  • NICET I, (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies)
  • Ability to program Fire Alarm panels, troubleshoot, conduct repairs, and work independently
  • Ability to travel at least an hour within the desired work area
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell (car provided)
