Responsibilities

The Strategic Analytics & Measurement Analyst is responsible for leading analytics for marketing strategies centered around audiences, products and geography. This role involves providing strategic oversight of State Farm’s Brand performance, conducting in-depth exploratory research, and delivering strategic recommendations to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates closely with the Marketing Strategy team to refine and elevate the company’s brand strategy.
  • Leads the development of the brand measurement framework, sets data-driven goals, and prioritizes research initiatives.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams—including Strategy, Marketing Science, Customer Insights, and Marketing Campaign teams—to evaluate the health of State Farm’s brand.
  • Analyzes the relationships between brand and performance metrics to help guide overall marketing investment decisions.
  • Leads and facilitates discussions on the distinctions between various customer survey data sources and vendors.
  • Formulates hypotheses, gathers and analyzes data, interprets results and their implications, and recommends next-step actions.
  • Analyzes business trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape to guide strategic planning.
  • Conducts general customer, product, and geo-based analyses to inform long-term marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytics-oriented discipline preferred (Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economics, etc.)
  • Preferred 5+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics or generating customer insights through research
  • Proficient in handling survey data and applying statistical methods to sampling, bias analysis, and uncertainty assessment, with the ability to effectively reason using these principles
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS, or an ability to readily acquire proficiency based on experience with comparable programming/querying languages
  • Experience with hypothesis testing, regression models, time series analyses and clustering
  • Understanding of different media channels and experience utilizing attribution model output
  • Experience with data storytelling and producing reports using business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, etc)
  • Ability to collaborate across organizational departments, build relationships, and present to a variety of audiences at all levels of the enterprise
