Job Summary
We are seeking candidates for an entry-level position in the software development field. This role is designed for individuals looking to build on their existing skills and take the next step in their career.
The Core Software team is a high-performance engineering team responsible for building the fundamental software to manage the ONTAP software product. You will work as part of a team responsible for the development, testing and debugging of distributed software that drives NetApp cloud, hybrid-cloud and on premise solutions.
As a Software Engineer, you would participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems. This position requires an individual to be creative, team-oriented, technology savvy, driven to produce results and demonstrates the ability to take a cross-team leadership role.

Job Requirements
* Understanding of C, C++, python; systems programming in C is highly desirable
* Experience with development in LINUX/UNIX environments
* Participate in product design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of a system or major subsystems
* Projects, experiences, or coursework related to areas such as: Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Multi-Threading, Data Structures & Algorithms
* Knowledge of Networking Protocols - TCP / IP, UDP / IP, VLAN etc. is preferable
* Ability to work collaboratively with other engineers
* Strong oral & written communication skills
Experience
* Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience or degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $112,000 - $158,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
