Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in SRE principles and practices, with a focus on ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, particularly in the context of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline automation.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust SRE practices to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Automate CICD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Gradle.
- Manage and optimize build and deployment processes using Maven and Artifactory.
- Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet to streamline operations.
- Monitor system performance and reliability using tools such as Splunk, Elastic, Kibana, and Grafana.
- Implement and manage API gateways using Apigee.
- Schedule and manage jobs using AutoSys and Control M.
- Analyze system metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications and services.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies, particularly CICD pipeline automation.
- Experience with Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Git, and GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with SonarQube and Artifactory for code quality and artifact management.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools including Splunk, Elastic, Kibana, and Grafana.
- Experience with application performance monitoring tools like AppDynamics and New Relic.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, JSON, Angular, Node.js, .NET/C#.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms and services.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in SRE, DevOps, or cloud technologies are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
