We have an opening for a Senior Technical Interior Designer. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Considering this model, this role could be based in the following cities:

Position Summary:

As a Senior Technical Interior Designer at DLR Group, you will be responsible for leading Interior Design projects on budget and schedule while delivering design excellence. You will be responsible for collaborating on the design of complex projects from programming through construction administration, on projects ranging in size and complexity while providing hands-on supervision to design staff during all phases. You will partner with internal partner disciplines, vendors, and consultants as needed. If you are a collaborative thought leader with a strategic mindset this might be the position for you. What you will do:

  • Prepare and develop drawings, models, materials, and other documents relating to the design.
  • Serve as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction.
  • Actively manage project budgets, schedules, and programs, project communication and documentation, and project team assignments.
  • Be responsible for the development of the design and the project with input from the Principal in Charge and/or the Design Leader for key project stages.
  • Manage project schedule, budget, and cartoon set for project success.
  • Determine and manage coordination of all technical project efforts to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional experience designing hospitality interior projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent
  • Strong creative design and drawing skills as well as graphic and oral presentation skills
  • Intimate familiarity with the interior design process and deliverables required
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with FFE specification software and producing custom specifications
  • The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices
  • Ability to manage teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional NCIDQ Certification
  • Can estimate project fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Has an interest in Healthy Materials and sustainable building design

The suggested pay range for this position is:

Pay Range$102,000—$125,000 USD
