Brief Description:

Under broad guidance, the Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining and supporting the HRSD Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), and server infrastructure. Serves as the subject matter expert in the research, identification, implementation and support of IT-based solutions that meet HRSD business needs, goals and objectives. Communicates HRSD’s Mission, Vision and Values; provides long-term vision, strategic planning and implementation of innovative programs to continually improve HRSD performance.

Job Requirements:

Experience  Required •Minimum 5 years as a senior systems engineer or network engineer designing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting network and server infrastructure hardware/software within a multi-protocol, client/server, mid-tier, WAN infrastructure. •Exceptional technical knowledge and organizational skills in researching, planning and managing various IT projects and initiatives. •Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. Desired •Experience managing, installing and supporting VMware ESXi server virtualization environments. •Experience with desktop virtualization platforms such as VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual desktops, etc. •Experience with configuration management tools to include Microsoft Intune, Ivanti EPM, Group Policy, etc. •Experience with scripting languages including PowerShell, Python or other programming languages. •Understanding of Agile project management methodologies.   Licenses and Certifications Requirements Required •Valid driver’s license from state of residence and •One or more of the following certifications oVMware VCTA, VCP or VCAP to be obtained within the first six months of employment.   HRSD is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
