Full Job Description
Job Description BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis in targeting; weaponeering; missile-centric product generation (navigation products); Geospatial Intelligence; Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR); and/or Mission Management.
The candidate will apply Systems Engineering principles to the support the requirements analysis, design, development, and verification of targeting and weaponeering software. In addition, the qualified candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team of 5 - 10 and have a hand in the entire systems engineering process.
Tasks include:
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Tasks include:
- Working with customers, end users, and other contractors with the Department of Defense (DoD) community in the understanding and development of Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for intelligence, targeting, weaponeering, navigation products, and/or mission planning
- Working with agile development teams consisting of systems and software engineers in establishing systems design including system capabilities, features, and user stories; applying iterative software development processes and methods
- Application of agile processes for analyzing customer requirements, design artifacts, system architecture models, and user workflows for the development of system capabilities
- Participating in and preparation of materials for Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) technical reviews (Program Increment (PI) Planning, PI Reviews, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, PI Demonstrations, Formal Qualification Testing (FQT)) and various other technical exchange meetings
- Defining/documenting baseline requirements which may include analysis of customer/systems requirements; establishing and documenting software derived and decomposed requirements
- Preparation of engineering documentation (Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Requirements Traceability and Verification Matrix (RTVM), Software User's Manual (SUM), Software Test Plan (STP), Software Test Description (STD), Training Materials, etc.)
- Collaborating with internal and external developers; providing feedback and insight to development teams on requirements, interfaces, and testability
- Developing, documenting, and executing test plans and procedures for all phases of testing from build integration to full system integration testing; defining verification and validation methods
- Recommending and developing new, innovative, and efficient process improvements to current testing processes and methodologies including use of automated testing approaches
- Work with modernization team to help transition to a modern development environment including DevSecOps, microservice architecture, containers, and development in a secure cloud environment

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/technical discipline ore related education, with 6+ year(s) related experience to include much of the following:
- Experience establishing and working with SAFe Agile teams and Program Increments
- Experience with agile systems engineering activities, processes, and methodologies
- Experience with requirements development, requirements management, and system design of complex systems
- Experience incorporating new designs and systems into existing platforms, designing, and documenting user interfaces, and developing technical documentation
- Experience with requirement specifications, verification, developing/executing test cases
- Demonstrated technical writing skills
- MS Windows Operating environment; Microsoft Office products
- Experience or familiarity with MBSE tools and methods (preferably DoDAF)
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, users, and contractors from the DoD communities
- Knowledge of issue tracking systems (e.g., ADO, JIRA)
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environment
- Experience with Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), targeting, weaponeering systems such as (e.g., TMPC, CGS, MIDB, JTT, JWS, DIEE, IMEA)
- Experience with image data and imagery exploitation systems such as SOCET GXP
- Experience with operational aspects of Navy/AF targeting, weaponeering, navigation products, and/or mission planning systems
- Familiarization with C4ISR systems
- Experience with intel and weapon systems software (e.g., MIDB, JTT, JWS)
- Maintaining/managing requirements traceability between requirements and test cases
- Familiarity with UI/ UX design tools (Visio or similar)
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with the MBSE process and tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Cameo)
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Project milestones and technical reviews
