Our tech start up client in the telecommunications space is looking for a Senior Content Writer to join their marketing team in a full time (perm hire), fully remote capacity.
Prior consumer wireless writing experience a MUST, as is SEO content writing know-how.
Company is fully remote; they meet for company-wide, in-person, multi-day meetings three to four times a year, all expenses paid.
As Senior Content Writer, you'll work alongside a CD (copy) and two other writers to create engaging and informative SEO-optimized digital content, including blog articles and website pages, designed to meet the needs of wireless shoppers while simultaneously increasing company's visibility in search engine results. You'll also be responsible for crafting video scripts, email marketing messages, and social media posts that align with our brand and consumer growth goals.
As the Senior Content Writer, you'll have the chance to shape our content strategy and create highly effective
content to deliver on it. You'll work side-by-side with our growing content team and a deeply experienced and collaborative leadership team, serving a large and dynamic industry in a fast-paced work environment.
Day to day responsibilities:
-Create and publish compelling content for various platforms such as the website, blog, social media platforms, and YouTube
- Write and edit long-form SEO-optimized articles, short-form messaging, video scripts, and social media posts
- Revise existing long-form blog articles to include high-value keywords without sounding keyword-stuffed
- Monitor the performance of your content and regularly optimize it for improved visibility in SERPs
- Ideate and inform company's content strategy in partnership with company's managing editor
- Actively monitor and contribute to our editorial content calendar to ensure consistent content production and timely delivery
- Stay abreast of the latest SEO writing tools and tactics such as the emerging role of AI in content creation to achieve a balance between efficiency and bespoke human content
- Research competitor's content to identify new topic areas, article ideas, and digital solutions for Navi to explore
- Publish content to the website as new marketing pages and blog posts are added to company page
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of prior content writing experience for cellular telecom, whether via journalism, marketing, advertising, or public relations
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, a deep understanding of SEO, strong attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter, collaborative team player, and multi-tasker
- Webflow or other content management system experience such as WordPress
- Proven track record as an SEO writer, content creator, copywriter, or similar role
- Portfolio of published articles or other content
- Graphical tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or Canva
- Experience using Google Analytics, Semrush, Ahrefs, Clearscope, or similar tools
