Senior Project Manager
Position Overview
Our client, an advertising agency with an expertise in regulated industries is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their team fulltime! This is a hybrid position 2-3x per week in the NYC office. The Senior Project Manager is a client's trusted partner, responsible for leading and successfully delivering digital programs and initiatives while ensuring the quality of work. This role involves translating client requirements and project objectives into defined deliverables and scope across the project lifecycle, managing multiple project workstreams on-time and on-budget, and supervising a cross-functional team.
Background working on financial or healthcare clients is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management activities, including planning, tracking against time and deliverables, and managing issues and risks for a portfolio of projects.
- Ensure reliable communication with internal and client team members, external vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and direction to the team, setting expectations for timelines and deliverables.
- Track and resolve or mitigate project issues and risks, describing possible impacts and providing solutions.
- Manage account activities for a portfolio of accounts, including sales support for new business pitches, RFP, SOW, and estimate development.
- Create and deliver project documentation, including process/data flows, requirements, test documentation, and other deliverables as necessary.
- Mentor and/or directly manage delivery staff as assigned by the Managing Director of Delivery.
- Support account planning, including regular communications, identifying key decision makers, and communicating service offerings.
- Cultivate and identify client opportunities through regular communications, translating client problems or initiatives into opportunities for the company.
- Maintain contact with key prospects and clients, establishing regular communications and recording client contact for tracking and follow-up.
Qualifications
- 6+ years in an advanced management role for a consulting firm or agency, or equivalent industry/in-house experience in a digital transformation role, managing client or account relationships.
- Experience successfully delivering large and complex digital projects in a client-facing or consultant role.
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, risk assessment and control, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including technology and design resources.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Outstanding working knowledge of delivery methodologies (such as Scrum/Agile, traditional waterfall, etc.), change management principles, process improvement strategies, and performance evaluation processes.
