Senior EHS Project Specialist

Work Location and Schedule: You’ll be based at our North American business headquarters, situated at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive in Lithia, FL. As part of a flexible arrangement, you’ll have three dedicated office days—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Additionally, you’ll enjoy the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. Plus, there’s an exciting opportunity to follow a 9/80 schedule, which means you’ll have every other Friday off. Bonus: if you are into fitness, we have a gym onsite!

We’re looking for a Sr Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Project Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for identifying and tracking the goals of our EHS projects, whether they’re short, medium, or long-term. You’ll lead the charge in implementing and rolling out tech solutions, making sure everything aligns with our EHS objectives and strategy. You’ll also be involved in projects, meetings, relationship management, knowledge sharing, and communications. Plus, you’ll often take on high-profile global projects and support various initiatives. What you’ll do:

  • Monitor the short, medium and long-term objectives of EHS to reduce EHS risks

  • Lead Technology and Innovation projects including planning, identifying business objectives, identifying and evaluating viable options, preliminary design development, and preliminary economic and risk mitigation evaluation

  • Ensure alignment with EHS, Operations, and IT standards, including information flow, proper and timely decision making and continuous internal improvement

  • Participate and lead in the implementation and deployment of Technology solutions in alignment with EHS objectives and strategy

  • Ensure initiatives are met throughout projects, meetings, relationship management processes, knowledge management, and any communications that are distributed

  • Track and report on project status and manage budgets and resources

  • Lead change management efforts from start to finish to assess proposed technology changes when enhancements and new releases are considered

  • Work with appropriate individuals from EHS, IT and the business to ensure effective transition to end users

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s in engineering or information technology, or other relevant field

  • 3+ years of experience in leading technical projects in a mining, manufacturing and/or heavy industrial environment or similar

  • Experience with MS Office products, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or similar software

  • Experience leading a technical team

  • Organized with attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Deep knowledge of project management principles and planning

  • In-depth knowledge of information technology procedures and practices

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Desire and ability to travel 20% of the throughout NA and SA

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • 3+ years experience in environmental, health and safety data analysis, and information technology experience

  • Experience with Sphera, Intelex, SAP, Powerapps, Power BI, OIS, PI

  • Intermediate communication abilities in Portuguese and/or Spanish
