This position is a hybrid role, to be considered, candidates must be based within 25 miles of a NetApp office: San Jose CA, Research Triangle Park (North Carolina), Boston MA, or Boulder CO.

The Senior Contracts Manager is essential to ensuring seamless legal and sales operations within NetApp. While acting as the gatekeeper for legal matters, you will manage our contracting process by negotiating a variety of technology agreements. You will serve as a crucial liaison between the legal and sales teams, ensuring compliance, handling escalations, and maintaining a positive customer interaction experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary legal resource to our Sales Organization.
  • Maintain consistent availability to support both the legal and sales teams, promptly managing legal queries and issues.
  • Engage with customers and sales representatives in a positive and proactive manner, becoming a trusted and approachable resource.
  • Handle customer service aspects related to contracting including ensuring compliance and completing necessary documentation.
  • Negotiate a variety of SaaS and Technology Agreements.
  • Facilitate the order booking process, ensuring that all contractual requirements and legal jargon are properly addressed.
  • Complete all necessary forms and ensure strict compliance with both customer requests and company policies.
  • Regularly interact with the field team, addressing queries related to terms and conditions, company ownership, and other contractual concerns.
  • Manage complex contracting scenarios, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Handle escalations, including explaining terms and conditions, and responding to customer requests for contract modifications.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in-house at a technology company.
  • Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing technology contracts, particularly within SaaS, software, and hardware contexts.
  • Strong background in data privacy, information security agreements, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, providing timely and effective legal support.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is 160,000 - 180,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
