Fully Remote Position:

This position is considered to be Fully Remote and work is done from another location outside of Phoenix Home Office (within the United States). Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote do not have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can expect to be asked to travel to Phoenix Home Office several times a year [or more], based on business needs and in partnership with leadership. Associates that are considered to be Fully Remote will acknowledge the “Remote Work Agreement” upon hire.  

Senior Applications Analyst, Merchandising Applications

The Senior Applications Analyst will focus on supporting the implementation of various big and small Merchandising applications projects and continue to support them through operational support.  In this position, you will identify, define, analyze, and refine the requirements. The role will work directly with our various internal and external stakeholders - business partners, IT teams and external vendors - to ensure successful translation of those requirements into solutions. The role will ensure Merch Applications are always up with minimal downtime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate adept analytical and problem-solving skills to propose solutions to complex business requirements.
• Creates business and functional design specifications. Identifies gaps between solution design and application capabilities and determines alternatives.
• Demonstrate an understanding of various business processes within Merchandising, Retail, Digital and e-Commerce business areas.
• Gather and implement business driven requirements based on the given standards.
• Work closely with the Project Lead, Architect, and the Development team to ensure solution meets business needs.
• Ensures detailed technical requirements are captured from appropriate IT teams. Influences technical solution. Identifies gaps between technical design system/application capabilities and negotiates resolution.
• Facilitate the creation and execution of test plans, test cases and automation scripts; establish and manage acceptance criteria, participates in the identification of defects and works to resolution with Developers and business teams.
• Partner with Test Lead to oversee testing for the implemented functionalities and support all test phases.
• Participates in regular dialogue with business partners to help understand and shape ongoing operational requirements, issues, continuous delivery items and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in Production Support activities as such being on-call, incident management, system upgrade and disaster recovery to state few.
• Demonstrate ability to apply critical thinking skills to deliver complex solutions.
• Take initiative and stay self-motivated.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior members of the team.
  
  
• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Merchandising, Retail and replenishment systems with analyzing, designing, configuring, and implementing complex business processes and integrating with other systems.
• Experience with SAP ERP System. Experience with SAP IS-Retail is preferred.
• Past exposure to Retail industry. Preferably experience with both ‘brick and mortar’ and e-commerce.
• Past experience working with Article, Site, Customer, Vendor, and other Retail master data.
• past experience with Retail Pricing and Promotions. Experience with Point of Sale (POS) Applications preferred.
• Experience working with replenishment and demand planning systems like Relex.
• Experience with SDLC utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proven analysis/troubleshooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.
• Should be customer-oriented, mission focused, and a quick learner.
• Work well within a team setup and helps build a positive team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with and through others to resolve issues.
• Should be very good at analyzing and documenting both technical and functional requirements.
• Good experience with meeting facilitations and organizing solution design sessions.
• Should be highly quality conscious and result oriented.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with S/4 HANA Retail.
