This can be a part-time or full-time position with a hybrid work option. The posted salary/pay range for this announcement is based on full-time hours; the salary will be prorated for part-time hours.

What you will learn:

  • Discover how the right of way property management work is conducted on a day-to-day basis.

  • Business writing standards using plain language, as well as how to navigate different network systems.

  • Utilize and research a variety of content sharing platforms and expand on learned software skills through different Microsoft programs.

  • Receive training on business practices in an office environment, as well as driving and highway safety while conducting work on behalf of the agency and section.

  • Develop soft skills including, but not limited to, communicating with senior level staff to receive feedback and encourage understanding of expectations and needs.

  • Researching and translating information to develop discipline standards, and empowering work in a team setting to accomplish a shared goal.

Minimum qualifications:

We are accepting applications from current junior and senior college students pursuing a degree in business administration, English, communications, writing, urban planning or real estate.

What we’d like to see:

  • Experience writing manuals, instructional guides, or other specification documents while producing error-free and comprehensive work.

  • Experience researching information utilizing electronic or web-based programs using tools like GIS (Geographic Information Systems).

  • Skills in prioritizing time and organizing materials.

  • Adapt to regulatory guidelines and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Experience or education in real estate or property management.

  • Temporary appointments may be full- or part-time and will not exceed six months or 1,040 hours.

  • We do not offer visa sponsorship. If you are hired, you will be required to fill out the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form confirming you are able to work in the US.
