Apex Systems is looking for a Remote Telephony Engineer. This is a 6 month contract.Job Title: Avaya Communications Engineer
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Avaya Communications Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Avaya communication systems. This role requires a deep understanding of Avaya products and solutions, as well as strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and deploy Avaya communication systems, including IP Office, Aura, and Contact Center solutions.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Avaya systems and associated network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT and network teams to integrate Avaya solutions with existing systems.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and internal teams.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest Avaya technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Avaya communication systems.
- Strong knowledge of Avaya IP Office, Aura, and Contact Center solutions.
- Experience with VoIP technologies and network protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Avaya certifications (e.g., ACIS, ACSS) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SIP trunking and session border controllers.
- Knowledge of network security best practices.
- Familiarity with other communication platforms and technologies.
