Responsibilities*
- Tele-health medicine to includes, but are not limited to, triage calls from patients, families, clinicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Pre-operative teaching, counseling, and obtaining informed consent for orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Post-operative telephone consultations.
- Assist with a variety of procedures and tasks, clinical, administrative, or otherwise, to maintain patient flow in clinic and support assistive staff as needed.
- Candidate must be able to perform duties independently, be highly motivated and flexible in order to address the needs of patients, families and members of the health care team.
- To provide clinical support for DF Medsport and DF Hand teams, as well as to the wider CMC group of privileged providers throughout UMH, regardless of location of service or specialty.

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour
- Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
- Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
- Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
- Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
- Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
- Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
Two (2) years (within the last three (3) years) of Adult orthopedic surgical RN experience in an ambulatory care setting.
NOTE: Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

- MedSport RN experience
- Recent experience with narcotic medication management, ?start talking forms? in the ambulatory care setting
- Experience, including but not limited to, with ortho injury wrapping, wound assessment, and clinical nursing skills
- Broad range of clinical experience
- Experience with care coordination and managing complex patient populations.
- Recent (in the past 3 years) tele-health management skills
- BSN
- Demonstrated excellence in communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated accountability to Departmental requirements
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability with conflict management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, prioritize duties, multi-task and problem solve with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated flexibility in accepting changing clinical assignments on short notice.
- Proficiency in computer and keyboarding skills, using electronic medical record, along with Microsoft Office and calendaring
Work Schedule
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift/ Days/ Hours: Monday- Friday 8-430 pm
