Full Job Description

Our client, a management consulting firm, is seeking a Temporary Receptionist for their New York office located in the heart of Times Square. This position requires 5 days in office from 8am-5pm and will begin ASAP through mid-March 2025. This position is a great opportunity for someone to strength their reception skillset in a small, tight knit office space. The hourly pay for this role is up to $24.51.



Responsibilities:
  • Daily open reception area
  • Greet and announce visitors promptly and professionally
  • Adhere to the telephone guidelines on a daily basis
  • Answer all incoming calls to reception promptly, transfers calls if necessary (uses "mute" button if appropriated)
  • Ensures callers are not placed on hold for too long
  • Regularly updates the telephone list
  • Knows and follows procedures for handling emergency situation ( and is familiar with emergency numbers):
  • Emergency evacuation calls
  • Employee or visitor medical emergencies, etc.
  • Maintain a daily roster of visitors and comply with visitor badge issuance process
  • Maintain a daily roster of employee's in/out status
  • Assign temporary office space or conference rooms to visitors/employees
  • Coordinate car service and parking requests
  • Coordinate taxi requests
  • Ability to provide general Office Services support to all levels of staff (printing, binding, place service calls, shredding, etc.)
  • Mail distribution
  • Provide travel and visa support
  • Maintain office cleaning/maintenance schedule
  • Order catering, office food, stationary and other supplies
  • Maintain sufficient levels of office food, stationary and other supplies
  • Taking care of the office in line with confidentiality policy of the company (morning and evening check)
  • Process expense claims/invoices and attach all relevant receipts
  • Flight booking and communication with CWT
  • Preparation and collection of IT assets

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, minimum
  • Strong interpersonal skills; friendly, professional manner; ability to interact effectively
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to handle difficult and irate callers gracefully
  • Excellent follow-up skills; take accurate messages and deliver them quickly
  • Take ownership of callers requests; actively seek appropriate person to refer callers
  • Flexible and team player. Excellent English knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
