The QA Engineer will work closely with the product team, tech leads and software engineers to bring high-quality world-class solutions to the market. This person will help define and shape the quality engineering practices across the Product Technology team and must be a voracious learner and a great teammate. The role will require the ability to learn a lot of systems across our platform and you must have a system thinking mindset.

This role can be considered remote. Our preference is by one of our home offices in Portland, ME or Swedesboro, NJ
What You’ll Do
- Work with a delivery team to help define, build and test solutions for our platform
- Assist in implementing practical and pragmatic software quality engineering standards and best practices to help deliver high quality solutions in quick turnaround times as the team continues to grow
- Think and act like a customer to assure that the customer (internal or external) is well represented Utilize api and data testing / validation skills (mongo and postgres) when testing
- Collaborate with developers and/or product team members during the discovery of an issue or implementation of a feature
- Coordinate and collaborate across teams to define and build integrated tests across the platform
- Work with selected partners to help guide and direct the testing as needed
- Develop and execute formal test plans, procedures and scenarios for manual/exploratory and automated software testing to ensure quality of software applications; designing and developing the test strategy for product changes in collaboration with the software development and product owner team members
- Perform smoke, application, functional and regression testing of software applications, including determining the appropriate level of testing to ensure that systems or applications are tested effectively prior to implementation
- Build automated API tests using tools such as postman and/or JMeter
Who You Are:
- Understanding of QA Engineering or a like field with experience and proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing environment as we focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
What You’ve Done:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of QA Engineering or a like field with experience and proficiency in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, high-growth, and rapidly changing environment as we focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Experience with Test Automation Tools such as playwright and using a language like typescript
