Full Job Description
Our benefits consulting client is looking for a freelance Proposal Writer to start this month, 40 hours per week, for at least 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension.
The Proposal Writer organizes and writes responses for proposals, finalist presentations and other pursuit materials. You'll also help with launching the team's content management system and developing templated content for use by the team across all materials.
The Proposal Writer must have insurance or benefits industry experience.
Proposal Writer Responsibilities
Write responses for proposals, presentations, business development decks of all levels of complexity
Collaborate to develop templated content
Help establish and document RFP process/procedures
Collaborate with IT and project manager to launch and optimize instance of Loopio (content management system)
Work closely with producers (brokers) to collect information, consult and gain insights into RFP approach
Employ efficient ways to gather and repurpose content
Proactively coordinate own RFP process activities
Ensure quality service and content
Develop keen knowledge of services and capabilities
Help maintain RFP content, assets and resources
Help resolve issues along RFP process
Help train other team members on process & technology
Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Proactively communicate status and availability to team
Proposal Writer Requirements
Strong RFP, grant or proposal writing experience
Benefits or insurance administration RFP experience
Working knowledge Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Experience with content management system like Loopio highly preferred - at least tech-savvy
Efficient, precise, independent, assertive
Highly proactive with communication to team leader / team
Own computer & software when working from home
