As a Product Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, documenting, and driving foundational data governance initiatives. Your efforts will ensure that product data is accurately maintained, accessed, and utilized effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inform and Educate: Collaborate with business partners to educate them on their roles in governing the data managed by their teams.
- Influence and Identify: Influence the identification of functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the development of accurate business metadata and hold them accountable.
- Document and Publish: Document and publish critical business metadata to ensure proper maintenance and access.
- Collaborate: Work closely with business and technology partners to ensure that metadata is documented and accessible in the Enterprise data catalog.
What the Work Looks Like: In this role, you will initiate direct engagements with data governance and business partners in the product area. Your focus will be on defining and securing product data to meet business needs while balancing quality, risk, and cost. You will document processes, track progress, and share updates with leadership. Additionally, you will organize information and facilitate its publication in the metadata management tool.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of heavy data experience
- Proficiency in Excel and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Understanding of the user side of data, as opposed to coding or data building
- Strong verbal and technical communication skills
- Ability to capture written data definitions and clearly communicate across teams
- Detail-oriented, trustworthy, influential, and independent
- Must be able to work onsite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of footwear, apparel, and equipment products
Compensation: The target hiring compensation range for this role is $41.00 to $46.00 per hour, based on factors such as education, relevant work experience, certifications, and location.
