Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Reads and interprets blueprints and job-related documents
- Records daily events in job diary
- Schedules materials, equipment, and work for the crew
- Analyzes crew SIPs to create site SIPs
- Obtains quantities from crews and prepares for billing process with PM
- Analyzes cost reports for production adjustments
- Accurately codes and controls onsite costs
- Conducts site meetings
- Attends job turnover meetings
- Communicates goals and purposes effectively
- Leads by example
- Influences and enforces company values, recognizes misalignments, and ensures compliance
- Understands and anticipates customer's needs
- Understands business practices within the organization and the importance of repeat business
- Communicates with customer representatives and represents the company professionally
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills, Education, and Experience
- PennDot road construction experience
- Strong Verbal and Written Communications skills
- Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Basic computer skills including internet, email, and documentation using digital cameras
- Demonstrated leadership
- Demonstrated dependability and punctuality
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience
- Two years of relevant PennDot road construction experience
- Supervisory or crew foreman experience
- OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
