The Pastry Sous Chef reports directly to the Executive Chef and is responsible for the production of baked goods and pastries within the hotel for all areas. This is a hands-on position wherein this leader will actively participate in the execution of production as well as train, develop and supervise their team. On occasion, this role will be required to assist with leadership responsibilities in other Culinary departments as well.

Qualifications:

  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of leadership experience, preferably within Culinary.
  • Candidates should be able to perform advance pastry skills and techniques.
  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long period of time.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Flexible schedule to work based on business, including weekends and holidays.
