Full Job Description

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Non-Fleet Sales Manager to join our YGC team in Kennesaw, GA. The Non-Fleet Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the non-fleet sales team encompassing units and parts & accessories sales and business management, focused on achieving retail and wholesale targets for assigned channels, as well as well as development objectives ensuring an overall customer experience focus on the market.  They will work with senior management to implement strategic action plans that support the overall corporate direction.  Directs, manages, and motivates a team, and is accountable for skill and career development of staff. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Achieve wholesale and retail targets through management and guidance of district managers, inside sales representatives, and alignment with the sales administration and other internal teams, as well as utilization of retail & wholesale programs and sales & inventory reports along with account and employee training.
  • Assist in development and implementation of network strategies to support directives working with the dealer development manager, parts and accessory, service, pre-owned and training teams.  Guide district managers in new dealer prospecting activities managing new dealer setups and existing dealer buyouts and terminations.
  • Accurately forecast unit and parts and accessories sales and inventory levels based on previous sales history and market trends.
  • Work with district managers on developing regional business plans, and reporting, documenting, and communicating regional planning, market, and industry trends to management, supporting overall customer experience strategies.
  • Work with the marketing department and dealer development manager for development and engagement of the cooperative spending program, promotional programs, and implementation of dealer marketing initiatives, point of purchase materials, development of marketing assets, event support and communications.
  • Build, implement and track incentive programs for sales staff focused on achieving KPI’s and overall goals and targets.
  • Forecast, track, and manage regional budget including travel, marketing, and promotion expenses.
  • Travel in the market to gain a continued understanding of market trends and activities.
  • Manage employee development providing division and corporate goals & objectives, as well as setting performance expectations and goals.  Draft and implement employee specific skill development and training strategies. 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience in field operations, or in a retail sales setting
  • 5+ years of managerial experience with a team of direct reports.
  • 3+ years of general service and parts & accessories experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Dealership relationship experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management skills
  • Minimum 25% travel required traveling in market with assigned District Managers to various accounts, industry events, and dealer functions. 
  • Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license required. 
  • Must be able to obtain a company issued or personal credit card for use in travel-related expenses.
