Monday - Friday

You must meet the following qualifications:
Education: HS Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Equivalency; Basic Medical Terminology required.
Experience: At least one year relevant experience or specilized Registered health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator certification required.
This position serves as a medical records technician to process and maintain inpatient, outpatient or ambulatory procedure unit medical records. Required to compile or extract medical records data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Can type a minimum of 40 wpm is required.
- Can use standard office equipment such as computers, typewriters, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems and office automation systems to perform the position.
- General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to prepare and edit written correspondence, reports or transcribed material.
Knowledge of Military Health Care systems/procedures such as AHLTA, DEERS, CHCS are a plus!!
