Job Description Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the Shipping/Receiving of materials going to and from the Little Chute Facility. They will also be part of the Warehouse Leadership Team and have some responsibilities delegating task and assisting Team members with questions.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter Receiving documents into E-win and SAP.
  • Schedule appointments for Inbound/Outbound deliveries. 
  • Create Outbound loads in SAP.
  • Delegate Outbound loads to be picked by Warehouse Team members.
  • Troubleshoot Shipping/Receiving errors.
  • Coordinate with Local driver to ensure necessary trailers are in the dock doors.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Procurement
    • Accurately ensure good receipts, quantitative and qualitative controls, and bill of lading.
    • Set up Identification data (lot, date, description, etc.) and capture data correctly in SAP.
    • Ensure data integrity in SAP to maintain traceability through the system.
  • Stock Management
    • Ensure material receipts are done correctly; resolve and troubleshoot issues in the system.
    • Share important documents created or received (COA’s) with the relevant departments.
    • Manage goods receipts in Vendor Management System.
  • Act as a back-up to the Inventory Control Coordinator.
    • Adjust inventory levels in E-win and SAP.
    • Review and correct discrepancies sent from Production Coordinator.
    • Ensure materials are used in FIFO rotation.
  • Safety, Environmental and Quality
    • Follow all safety rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
    • Follow all environmental protocols as applicable to the job.
    • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.
    • Follow all food safety procedures.
    • Maintain a sanitary and safe work area; performs housekeeping duties as necessary and/or required.
    • Detect potentially hazardous conditions and problems and takes appropriate action to report and/or correct.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree is preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Working Conditions:  Work is performed largely in an office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours and average at least 40 hours per week. There could be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines, and other concerns. Overtime and occasional holiday hours may be required. Employee is required to sit in front of a computer for several hours a day. Occasional lifting may be required.  All Safety and Quality guidelines must be adhered to when working in the plant.
