Position Summary | This position provides lab tech support to all programs housed within the Electronics & Robotics department. This individual provides program continuity for students in lab activities by working with faculty and staff of the Electronics & Robotics Department on defined lab experiences, insuring that materials are procured and ready for use, software is operational, tools and instrumentation are available and calibrated, and equipment & PPE is in good operating order. In addition, this individual represents the department at recruiting events. This position will teach courses to meet program demand as needed, and provide leadership and general direction to the part-time lab technician in carrying out the responsibilities listed. This position will be responsible for labs at the Dayton and Mason campus.
The minimum salary for this position is $53,410 and is determined commensurate with experience.

Principal Accountabilities | - Assist students in open labs
- Clean, repair, supply, and maintain lab spaces and equipment
- Prepare lab equipment and supplies for each course on a semester basis
- Purchase items as needed to support classrooms and/or labs
- Assist students in completing lab activities under supervision of the assigned instructor
- Attend department and division meetings
- Work with other Sinclair departments to support Electronics and Robotics related programs and grants
- Coordinate department lab activities and course delivery with Industry Credentials and third party accreditation bodies
- Develop and manage annual supply and capital budget requests
- Coordinate required laboratory equipment and supplies inventory
- Move and install equipment for the labs
- Ensure program compliance with all OSHA, safety and environmental requirements
- Collaborate with departmental faculty and staff to support the mission of the department, division, and/or college
- Provide tours and presentations to area high school students, guidance counselors and teachers as well as business, government and community leaders
- Attend and support Sinclair recruiting and outreach events
- Support department web pages and marketing initiatives
- Teach program courses as needed

Requirements | - Minimum of an associate's degree required; bachelor degree in engineering or engineering technology preferred
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in automation or controls, robotics or manufacturing operations, engineering or management, and/or technical education field required
- Prior work experience in a manufacturing role preferred
- Technical skills related to understanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and fluids power equipment preferred
- Ability to professionally communicate and coordinate with outside agencies such as universities, and local industry required
- Ability to work on multiple tasks while providing great attention to detail and meeting all prescribed deadlines required
- Professional communication skills to include written and oral to include telephone etiquette and positive attitude with a strong desire to assist people required
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel, and the ability to learn and utilize programs and databases used by the college required
- Ability to provide superior customer service in a responsible manner by being knowledgeable, supportive, and demonstrated diversity awareness required
