Job Description:

Apex Systems is hiring for a Residential Installation Technician in the Miami area! To apply, send your resume to [email protected].
Location: Miami, FL
Pay Range: 21-24.50$/hourly based off experience and background

Project Details - Size, Scale, Scope?How does candidate fit into this?

  • Install/programming security systems in residential communities.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

  • Low Voltage equipment installs, add-ons, conversions, radio replacement, wire pulling for residential and small business customers.
  • Running remote test to ensure equipment is operating properly
  • Interacting with customers to include educating on services
  • Tracking of all inventory and jobs on smart phone, laptop or tablet.

1.Possible conversion to perm- Need to be able to prove yourself through metrics, inventory, and upselling.

2.Get reimbursed .26 cents per mile up to 600 miles a week.

3. Companywill provide a cell phone.

What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience with the technologies the position?

1. CCTV Experience

2. BA (Burglar Alarm) Experience

3. CAT 5 & CAT 6 experience

4. Low voltage experience

4. Reliable transportation- SUV/Large Sedan with 4 doors.

5. Has basic hand tools (Screwdriver, Plyers, wire cutters, drills, multi meter, etc)

6. 6 ft + ladder (can be a ladder that collapses down)

7. Must have a current and valid State Driver's License.

NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)?

1. Networking background (TECH SAVVY)

2. Organized and great with keeping track of inventory

3. Great customer service skills- you will be interacting with customer daily

4. Sales background- you will be upselling at each job

5. AV experience

6. Smart home installation experience

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current valid State Driver's License.
  • Must own reliable transportation(need a specific insurance policy), basic hand tools (screwdrivers, plyers, wire cutters, and a drill), and a 6-8 foot ladder.
