Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Manager for our hotel located in the charming city of Ashland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will generate hotel room sales across all market segments, focusing on group business (10+ guestrooms per night) and negotiated volume accounts (NVA) requiring over 50 room nights annually. This role aims to meet or exceed revenue targets through strategic sales initiatives and client relationship management in the unique Ashland market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solicit and secure new group business, developing strong client relationships
  • Provide quotations, negotiate contracts, and manage the entire sales process
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of group events
  • Conduct market analysis specific to Ashland and surrounding areas, developing strategies to maximize revenue
  • Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular performance reports
  • Support and train sales staff as needed
  • Participate in sales strategy meetings and local industry events
  • Forecast Group & NVA revenues and assist in analyzing business opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain a safe working environment
  • Leverage Ashland's unique attractions, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, to drive sales

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel sales, particularly in group business and NVA management
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in sales management software and MS Office suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Ashland's tourism industry and local attractions is a plus
