Position Description

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Hot Molding Oven Operator will be responsible for scheduling, programming, and operating various ovens to bake or anneal billets and sheets according to work order specifications. Additionally, the Operator will assist in basic mold changes and process hot molded materials per production schedules. This role includes loading and unloading ovens, tracking cycle times for specific materials, and ensuring communication with the team when processes are complete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and program ovens to bake or anneal billets and sheets following work order instructions.
• Load and unload ovens, and gather billets from the compression molding department for processing.
• Track and monitor cycle times for specific materials, communicating with the team upon process completion.
• Assist with basic mold changes and process hot molded material according to work orders.
• Move labor within the MRP system and run production work orders as needed.
• Work with chuck stub as needed.
• Communicate with other departments and co-workers regarding production runs.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm, 10 hours/day. Overtime may be required on Fridays/Saturdays.

Pay Range: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr; up to 10% bonus

Required Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience
• Blueprint and dimensional reading
• Strong mechanic aptitude.
• Ability to use tape measure, tooling, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Fork Lift Certified (preferred).
• Knowledge of MRP (preferred).
• Able to interpret router per work order instructions.
• Proficient in power tools usage (grinders and power tools).
• Duties include cleaning of toolings, weight materials, operating press, loading and unloading oven.
• Able to contribute to the 5s initiate.
• Works in a team environment, strong work ethic, and a self starter.
• Must adhere to all quality and safety policy procedures.

Additional Description

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 2 to 5 years production experience
• Basic molding knowledge
