Grow your career as a Group Sales Team Lead with ALG Vacations.  In this role, you will efficiently manage new group sales leads and provide immediate backup support for Group Sales Consultants during both scheduled and unscheduled absences. You will oversee the main support email inbox, prepare reports, and assist with pricing and quotes. Additionally, you will handle customer service escalations and promote team member growth and development through targeted coaching and training initiatives.  

A successful Group Sales Team Lead will:

  • Oversee and allocate new sales leads to team members, ensuring timely and effective follow-up and conversion.
  • Provide backup support by managing the Group Sales Support email for team members during absences, including addressing urgent issues and managing workloads.
  • Handle complex customer issues and escalations that require advanced problem-solving or negotiation skills.
  • Prepare and present reports to team members holding extended inventory (Non-Deposit) & delayed quotes (WOES). Make timely updates in CRM to track progress.
  • Mentor and train team members, offering guidance on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer interactions to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Assist in calculating rates for quotes by analyzing requirements, applying pricing strategies, and ensuring accuracy to provide competitive and tailored options for clients.
  • Assist in updating the CRM by entering and maintaining accurate client & supplier information and ensuring data integrity to support effective sales management and reporting.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ALG Vacations core values.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/equivalent required
  • 1+ year of selling Group Travel is required
  • 2+ years of customer service experience is preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working in a CRM system is preferred, currently using Salesforce
  • Ability to promote positive energy to multi-task and operate in a fast paced, customer centric department
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Good time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a team-oriented environment as well as independently in a home-office environment free of distractions. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and exceed established sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the Groups workflow process and ability to efficiently navigate through various computer screens and programs
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for selling products and services including sales techniques and sales control systems
  • Ability to listen, understand, and communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing
